MercoAgro and Tecnofidta, conventions feedbacks

Lallemand Specialty Cultures had the opportunity to be present at the MercoAgro and Tecnofidta Fairs, which took place in Brazil and Argentina in September. It was an overall success in terms of exposure and securing new clients.

 

Great novelties were presented during the 11th edition of Mercoagro. Apart from the foremost solutions and innovations in the processing and industrialization of meat, the 2016 edition marks a new period of the fair.

A period of development while also restoring its core essence. A return to what has always been its vocation: connecting people, countries and continents through business, solutions, knowledge and relations. All of it in one of the biggest agribusiness poles in the world, the city of Chapecó – SC.

A total of 160 million USD in dealings were achieved during the fair.

In addition to the trade show, a workshop was organized by Globalfood for 60 selected customers in the SENAI in Chapeco. The SENAI is a well-known technical college/university in Brazil and very well connected to the meat industry.

Joerg Duepjan, Lallemand Specialty Culture Business Development Manager for South America, gave an interesting and informative speech on the meat industry and the market perspectives.

  

 

Since 2004, Messe Frankfurt Argentina has been in charge of the organization of Tecno Fidta. Since that time, it has worked with great commitment to give this fair more power and international projection. It has now reached a consolidated and international renown.

The thirteenth edition of the exhibition took place on September 20-23, 2016 in Centro Costa Salguero. It covered an area of 16,500 square meters in which 228 exhibitors from the local and international sphere exhibited all the technological advances in the areas of food processing, additives and ingredients, machines and equipment for food processing and beverage plants.

 

As a result of these two fairs, LSC has initiated new projects with 3 of the top players and  has contacted  48 other meat product producers. The positive outcomes can already be seen through an increase in sales!
