Let’s celebrate Bastille Day, French national day and most important bank holiday in France! July 14th is traditionally considered as the symbol of the French Revolution as it marked its beginning through the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789.

The Systematic Dictionary of the Sciences, Arts, and Crafts edited between 1751 and 1772 under the direction of Diderot and D’Alembert included articles focusing on cheeses such as Comté and Gruyère.
