Lallemand Specialty Cultures (LSC) exhibited at the 35th Annual American Cheese Society (ACS) Conference & Competition. The cheese community met in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the foremost educational conference and world-renowned cheese competition in the Americas.
Over the years, the ACS has become the leader in promoting and supporting American cheeses. Its core mission is to provide the cheese industry with educational resources and networking opportunities, while encouraging the highest standards of cheesemaking focused on safety and sustainability.
The ACS Conference & Competition gathers the majority of the American cheese making professionals, from small cheese makers to bigger corporations, including distributors and suppliers. Naturally, LSC was present and share its offerings and experience with cheese makers in addition to being a proud sponsor of the event. Lauriane Fillous, Sales & Marketing Director and Nathalie Radepont, Supply Chain & Toll Manufacturing Director; also responsible for the US and Canada respectively; attended the conference’s events and educational sessions representing Lallemand unique expertise and know-how. Nelson Jameson and Dairy Connection, both distributors of LSC cultures in the US also exhibited and sponsored the conference.
One of the main events of the conference was ‘Meet the Cheesemaker’ where conference attendees could meet and sample cheeses and cultured dairy products from more than 100 producers. More than 1,900 different cheese products were judged in the ACS Judging & Competition! Lallemand Specialty Cultures is proud to share that several of the winning cheeses were made with our Surface and Ripening Cultures.
See you in Richmond for “Virginia is for Cheese Lovers™”, the 2019 ACS Conference & Competition!
